Ethel Hottes

	Ethel Hottes, age 88, of 904 Belle Ave, Pinckneyville, passed away Wednesday morning, June 14, 2000 at 4:30 a.m. in the Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL. 
	Ethel was born October 31, 1911 in Belleville, IL the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Maxwell) Merrick.  She was united in marriage to John C. Hottes June 19, 1931 in Newton, IL and he preceded her in death March 15, 1996.  Ethel was a member of the First United Baptist Church of Pinckneyville, a member of the Royal Neighbors, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the Pinckneyville area.
	Ethel is survived by two granddaughters; Lisa Robinson and Laura Hottes both of Pinckneyville, a grandson, Mike Pearson also of Pinckneyville, two sisters; Harriett Eade and Mabel George both of Nashville, IL, six great grandchildren; Tyler, Kelsey, and John Robinson, Halie Hottes, Kayla and David Pearson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Clarence Arthur Hottes, two brothers and three sisters.
	Funeral services were held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Friday, June 16, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. James Bush officiating.  Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery in Swanwick, IL.  Friends were able to call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until services.  Memorials may be made to the Pinckneyville City Park Playground at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home.
